1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Snapchat Video Downloader ("we", "us", the "Service") processes when you use this website, why we process it, and the choices you have. We built the Service to work without accounts, so we collect as little as technically possible.

2. Links you submit

When you paste a Snapchat link, it is sent to our server so we can fetch the public page and identify the downloadable media. The link and the extracted media addresses are processed in memory to build your results and are not written to a database or a persistent log by us. The actual file transfer is streamed through our proxy to your browser; we do not keep a copy of the media.

3. Information we do not collect

• We never ask for and never receive your Snapchat username, password or authentication tokens.
• We do not require registration, so we hold no name, email address or payment details.
• We do not access private Snaps, direct messages or friends-only Stories.

4. Local browser storage

Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device so the Service remembers it on your next visit. This value never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

5. Advertising and Google AdSense

The Service is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent choice for personalised advertising where required by law.

6. Server logs and security

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamp and requested path. This data is used only to keep the Service available, diagnose errors and prevent abuse, and is retained for a short period before deletion.

7. Third-party services

Media is fetched from Snapchat's own content delivery network, and web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Those providers may receive your IP address as a technical necessity of delivering the content. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. Because we do not maintain user accounts, most requests can be satisfied by clearing your browser storage and adjusting your ad settings. You can also contact us with a request.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service or the law. The revision date at the top of this page always shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
