Guide
How the Snapchat downloader works
Everything happens in your browser and on our fetch server — there is nothing to install, and you never sign in to Snapchat.
On iPhone & iPad
- 1.Open Snapchat and find the Spotlight clip or public Story you want.
- 2.Tap the share arrow, then Copy Link.
- 3.Open this site in Safari and paste the link.
- 4.Choose a format, tap download, then open Files ▸ Downloads to find it.
On Android
- 1.Tap the three dots or share icon on the Snap and choose Copy Link.
- 2.Open Chrome and paste the link into the downloader.
- 3.Pick your quality in the Video, Audio or Image tab.
- 4.The file lands in your Downloads folder and your Gallery.
On desktop
- 1.Open the Snap on snapchat.com and copy the address bar URL.
- 2.Paste it here and press Download.
- 3.Compare file sizes across quality tiers before choosing.
- 4.The browser saves the file to your default download directory.
Choosing the right quality
The results panel lists every format we could verify, with its container, quality tier and exact size. Pick 1080p when you plan to edit or re-watch on a large screen, 720p as an everyday balance, and 480p or 360p when you are on mobile data or short on storage. The M4A audio option is the smallest download of all and is ideal when you only want the sound.
Why some links fail
- The Snap is private or friends-only — only public content can be resolved.
- The Story expired; Snapchat removes the file from its CDN when content disappears.
- You pasted a profile or app deep link rather than a link to a specific Snap.
- A regional CDN is temporarily unavailable — try again in a minute.
